HOW IT BEGAN
THE GUY BROW is independently owned and operated by Licensed Vocational Nurse Jennifer Churchill who also owns NEWPORT SMP. Nurse Jenn has trained alongside of some of the top plastic surgeons, hair transplant doctors, and scalp pigmentation artists in the world. Over the past 8 years, Nurse Jenn has advanced to becoming one of the most sought out scalp micro-pigmentation specialists. Patients from all over the globe seek out treatment at Newport SMP. She has revolutionized the hair restoration industry by blending technology and innovation to provide the best methods and experience available anywhere.

Through her work at Newport SMP, Nurse Jenn kept hearing over and over from her male patients about their dissatisfaction with the appearance of their brows. Many of these men complained about having sparse brows, bald spots, and asymmetry. After repeatedly hearing this through the years, Nurse Jenn created THE GUY BROW to meet the needs of men who desire more attractive brows.

THE GUY BROW in Newport Beach, California is a hip private“man cave”dedicated to giving men the eyebrows they want so they can feel confident about their appearance. Our licensed aesthetician is a certified micro-blading artist who has a keen eye at creating the perfect brows for each of her clients. She understands just how important the brows are for framing the face to provide proper balance and structure.

The Guy Brow’s Golden Ratio for Microblading
What is the Golden Ratio?
​
During the Renaissance Era, famous artists and architects used a mathematical equation called the“golden ratio”to plan out their masterpieces. Fast forward, scientists started using this formula to explain why some people are considered more beautiful than others.
To simplify things, the golden ratio is all about facial proportion. A scoring system is used from 1 to 10 to determine a person’s overall facial beauty. The average person scores between 4 and 6. To date, nobody has scored a perfect 10, but some have come close!

The first aspect is the overall length and width of the face. A person’s face should be about 1 1/2 times longer than it is wide. Next, the face is viewed in three quadrants. From the forehead hairline to a spot between the eyes, from between the eyes to the bottom of the nose, and from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin. If the measurement of each of these quadrants are equal, the person is considered more beautiful.
Lastly, other facial features are measured to determine the overall symmetry and proportion. Someone with a perfect face will have ears that are equal in length to their nose and the width of their eyes equaltothe distance between their eyes.
At THE GUY BROW, we use the Golden Ratio method when mapping out the shape of the eyebrows. The closer we can get to the ideal measurement, the more attractive the overall result will be for our clients.

The Guy Brow is independently owned and operated by Jennifer Churchill. A licensed vocational nurse who has worked in the aesthetics industry for over 10 years. Nurse Jenn has trained alongside of some of the top plastic surgeons, hair transplant doctors, and scalp pigmentation artists in the world. Over the past 8 years, Nurse Jenn has advanced to becoming one of the most sought out scalp micro-pigmentation specialists. She has revolutionized the hair restoration industry by blending technology and innovation to provide the best methods and experience available anywhere. Patients from all over the globe seek her out for treatment at her sister company, Newport SMP.​

Jennifer’s medical career began in 2001 working at Mission Hospital as a Clinical Partner and Trauma Technician. Looking to advance her career, in 2008 she obtained her nursing license and began working in specialties such as acute care, long-term care, hospice, and advanced wound care.
​
Jennifer was always passionate about aesthetics so it was a natural evolution for her to eventually enter into the field of plastic surgery, which she did in 2012. Jennifer quickly excelled and advanced her career in aesthetics. Largely because of her prior work experience and her keen eye and talent for maximizing a person’s beauty. Jennifer is passionate and committed to her work, and to providing the highest standard of care to every client.
Shawna Cady, LVN
SMP Practitioner / Office Manager
Meet Nurse Shawna, she is a true artist and perfectionist. Her warm and friendly demenor will instantly put you at ease as she is a natural care taker and incredibly skilled SMP artist. She is always cool, calm and collected and she will blow you away with amazing work. As an innovator in the SMP field, Nurse Shawna is passionate about developing her own specialized technique that she tailors to each individual client to help them reach optimal results.
Nurse Shawna completed her SMP training and Certification at Newport SMP and followed up with a 6 month long apprenticeship working along side Nurse Jenn and has collaborated on hundreds of cases and counting. Needless today she has been intensively vetted to deliver the dramatic and incredible results our clients have come to expect here at Newport SMP. We have no doubts that between her sweet, charming demeanor and incredible talent, you will fall just as in love with Nurse Shawna as we have!​
When our lovely nurse isn't busy changing lives here at Newport SMP, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and enjoys all activities that involve health and fitness.
